Our Hill Style Longbow is a smooth drawing bow with minimal hand shock. The longer riser on this bow soaks up the energy from the limbs, reducing hand shock. On the belly of the bow the limbs are trapped, reducing the amount of glass making the bow smoother to draw.  This bow is cut to center with a radiused shelf and side plate. The limbs have a two degree back-set, giving it a mild string follow ASL profile, increasing smoothness and reducing hand shock. The riser is directly in the center of the core of the bow. It is in the center of the laminations instead of on top of the belly of the bow like most ASL bows. This bow is made with an indexing grip but you can request the alternate straight grip.
The riser on this bow is made from a solid piece of wood. The limbs are cored with bamboo, covered with your choice of wood, and topped with fiberglass. The limbs are tipped with FR4 unless you request antler on your order. It is finished off with a buckskin leather grip.
